Education

Our Oral Health Education Program

Panatella Dental hosts our community’s complimentary Oral Health Education Program, visiting dozens of local preschools and kindergarten classes each year. Visits include the kindergarten classes at St. Jerome Elementary School, Panorama Hills Elementary, Ascension of Our Lord School, Coventry Hills School, Buffalo Rubbing Stone School, Hidden Valley School, Our Lady of Grace School, Preschool instruction at Early Discoveries Nursery and Kindergarten, Zebra Crossing Montessori, and Sparks visits and tours.

Supplying Tools for Learning

We were pleased to empower new avenues of learning by supplying SmartBoard Systems to St. Jerome Elementary in Panorama Hills and Ascension of Our Lord School in Harvest Hill.

Recreation

Kids Soccer Supporter

Panatella Dental has been a long-term supporter of the local kids’ soccer program. Community soccer provides a fun and safe environment for children ages 3 through 17 to enjoy the exciting game of soccer. The emphasis is on participation, learning, and acquiring both soccer and life skills as well as developing a lifelong love of the game.

Developing Playgrounds

We believe in the importance of creating fun, dedicated spaces for kids to play. Panatella Dental is a long-time supporter of playground sponsorship and development in our local communities. We’ve aided in the development of playgrounds at:

• Buffalo Rubbing Stone Elementary School
• St. Jerome Elementary School
• Panorama Hills School

Northstars Hockey

We are proud to sponsor Calgary’s Northstars Hockey Association, which helps young men chase their dreams while learning about discipline and persistence.

Our Clinic Involvement

Women in Need Society (WINS)

Each March, Panatella Dental donates a toothbrush to the Women in Need Society for every hygiene visit completed during the month. Last year, over 800 toothbrushes were donated thanks to our patients. WINS is Calgary’s homegrown thrift charity founded in 1992 to provide basic needs to women in poverty and their families.

Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids (BB4CK)

For every Facebook “like” in May, Panatella Dental donates a lunch to Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids. BB4CK works in partnership with Calgary schools to make and deliver free healthy lunches for students who would otherwise go hungry.

Inn from the Cold

Each winter, Panatella Dental sponsors and serves meals at the Inn from the Cold. Inn from the Cold offers a wide range of life-changing programs to help children and their families experiencing homelessness find housing and achieve long term independence.

Salvation Army Toy Warehouse Toy Drive (December 1-31)

Each December, Panatella Dental holds a toy drive collecting new, unwrapped toys to be donated to the Salvation Army’s Toy Warehouse. Members of our team then volunteer countless hours at the warehouse packing toys for families who need help at Christmas.

Calgary Interfaith Food Bank Drive

During the month of May Panatella Dental holds a food drive for the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank. The Calgary Food Bank is the first line of emergency food support for families and individuals facing crisis.
