What to Do in Case of Dental Emergency
Prior to making an emergency dental care appointment, you may wish to follow a few steps to protect your teeth and mouth. These steps are in no way a replacement for emergency dental care.
Pain Due to Food & Drink Temperatures
Try drinking ice water, as it might relieve the pain. Sip on ice water and hold some in your mouth until you see the dentist.
Sensitivity to Cold Temperatures
If it causes pain to breathe in cold air, or if cold liquids and food cause discomfort, avoid these foods and beverages and breathe through your nose until you see the dentist.
Broken or Knocked-Out Teeth
Rinse and recover any pieces you can and store them in a container of milk or water. Stop any bleeding by holding a clean gauze or a teabag to the source of bleeding and call your dentist.
Hours of service
Panatella Dental knows that accidents don’t always occur during regular business hours, which is why we have dentists working early mornings starting at 7AM. We are also open as late as 8PM on most days, as well as over the weekends. Now that is something that will help to take a bite out of your emergency!
